From October 3rd to 5th, Copenhagen will become the epicenter of democracy innovation. This momentous occasion will see top experts from around the globe convene for three days of events, meetings, and workshops. Here, they will engage in discussions, share insights, and put into practice groundbreaking methods for policy development, all in the hope of contributing to solutions for some of society’s most significant challenges.
From October 4th to 5th, 150 international and Danish democracy experts, researchers and practitioners will convene for a two-day conference to delve deep into the shaping of democracy’s future. This will be accomplished through a series of plenary sessions, networking opportunities, and more than 30 workshops, all facilitated by democracy actors from across the world.
This event is the result of a collaborative effort between We Do Democracy, the Danish Board of Technology, University of Copenhagen, and the international network, Democracy R&D. The conference will take place at various venues, including the Demokrati Garage in Nordvest and South Campus at the University of Copenhagen.
This year’s conference places a special emphasis on practicality, with the multitude of workshops aimed at ensuring that the newfound and vital knowledge translates into practical solutions for the future. Notably, the conference will take place, in part, at Demokrati Garage in Nordvest, which is where We Do Democracy operates daily. Serving as the backdrop for the development of Danish democratic solutions, Demokrati Garage extends an invitation to the rest of the world to collaborate in reshaping perspectives on the challenges and solutions of the future.
